Training Scheme for SC/ST
Scheme for Training of SC-ST in UP
– Need-based and demand-driven skill development and entrepreneurial
training is imparted to the youths from the SC/ST category
including women candidates. Service is given at the centers. After the training
program is over, the candidates are given a toolkit of the respective trades.
Candidates will be given one month of theoretical training and 03 months of
practical training at various field units/departments.
Objective
- A four month group training program has been started under this scheme to increase self-employment/skill (technical) for the youth of SC/ST with the objective of generating employment. In this four month program every year, there is provision for one month theoretical training and three months practical training.
- Candidates will be given one month of theoretical training and 03 months of practical training at various field units/departments.
- For SC/ST-Under the scheme, the work of establishing self-employment is being done by training the SC beneficiaries in employment oriented trades by selecting the trades as per the local requirements and under the scheme there is a provision of honorarium for the arrangement of transport expenses/food etc. along with tool kit to the beneficiaries.

Eligibility

The minimum age for selection should be 18 years and maximum age should be 45 years.

Knowledge of reading and writing is not necessary for training in non-technical trades. Eighth pass is mandatory for training in technical trades.
