Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana 2.0

Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana 2.0 is an initiative of the Government of Uttar Pradesh designed to strengthen the livelihoods of traditional artisans and workers by connecting their existing skills with modern training, better tools, financial support, technology, and market opportunities.

The scheme recognises that traditional craftsmanship is an important source of livelihood while also addressing the need to modernise skills, improve productivity, enhance product quality, and create sustainable self-employment opportunities. Under the expanded 2.0 version, the scheme brings together traditional occupations and emerging technical trades, enabling beneficiaries to adapt to changing market requirements and new technologies.

With the expansion to 25 trades, the scheme provides a broader platform for artisans and workers to develop their capabilities, access improved tools and financial assistance, and connect with wider markets.

The Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana 2.0 covers a total of 25 trades, comprising both traditional and modern occupations. The traditional trades covered under the scheme include Carpenter, Tailor, Potter, Blacksmith, Barber, Mason, Goldsmith, Basket Weaver, Confectioner, Cobbler, Washerman, Sculptor, Florist, Milkman, Bharbhuja, and Madhuaara.
