About
The Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan Yojana (CM-YUVA) is a flagship initiative of the Government of Uttar Pradesh aimed at promoting self-employment and entrepreneurship among the youth of the state. Through this scheme, young people are encouraged to establish their own small industries, service ventures or business units instead of depending solely on salaried jobs. The programme provides interest-free loans of up to ₹5 lakh without the need for collateral, along with a 10% margin-money subsidy on the total project cost to reduce the initial financial burden. It covers manufacturing, service and trade sectors and gives priority to unemployed youth, women, members of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, minorities and persons with disabilities. In addition to financial assistance, the scheme also offers guidance, training and support for preparing project reports and running enterprises successfully. Overall, CM-YUVA is designed to empower youth, strengthen the state’s micro and small business ecosystem and generate employment opportunities at the local level.
