The state government, in collaboration with
the state's Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and its public
sector undertaking National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), has provided
marketing assistance to micro and small enterprises under the Marketing
Assistance Scheme. The 'One District One Product Marketing Promotion' scheme
was launched with the aim of providing better marketing and fair prices to
handicraftsmen, weavers and artisans for the sale of products declared under
ODOP. Under this, there is a provision to pay 75 percent of the stall charge
(maximum Rs 50 thousand), 75 percent of the cost of freight (maximum Rs 75
hundred) and the fare of third AC train or AC bus for one person for travelling
assistance.
The Market Development Assistance scheme is aimed
at achieving fair pricing for the artisans, weavers, entrepreneurs, and
exporters of ODOP products through better marketing.
The applicant must be involved in producing the products listed for their respective district under the ODOP scheme.
The applicant must be at least 18 years old.
The applicant should not have availed any similar benefits from the Government of India or the State Government in the last two years.
